xAI launched Grok Voice 3.0, which tops Artificial Analysis's Speech-to-Speech Index at 86.9, ahead of OpenAI's GPT-Live-1 (Astra, Medium) at 83.2. The index blends spoken reasoning, simulated support calls, blind preference votes, and task success.
The biggest gain comes on τ-Voice, where models must use domain tools for tasks like rebooking flights or disputing charges. The voice model already handles millions of conversations a day inside Tesla, powering hands-free Connectors (calendar, email) and Grok Bot (ordering coffee, booking dinner).
