Gemini 4 Argon tackles real CAD: 263 coding steps to build an actuator base, scores 0.459
DynamicWebPaige · x · 2026-10-15
PascalBtd's CAD AI series tested Gemini 4 Argon on designing a base for a DAMIAO 4340 actuator. Working purely through code, the model needed 263 steps and finished with a reward of 0.459, mostly penalized for missing wire openings. Google's DynamicWebPaige called it a great way to visualize the complexity of real-world CAD design and how far frontier models have come.
