Cloud browsers from OpenAI and Muse can't log into X or Reddit — flagged residential IPs blamed
ImpressionanteFato · reddit · 2026-10-15
A Brazil-based user found that the cloud browsers in both Muse and ChatGPT Work fail to log into X (the Continue button silently does nothing) and Reddit (blocked with an IP-related error). Cloudflare CAPTCHAs also fail — even when the human takes over and clicks verification manually.
Analysis:
- The providers' residential proxy IP pools appear heavily flagged, possibly with separate, pre-flagged pools for regions like Brazil
- Possible fixes: OpenAI/Meta striking deals with major sites to whitelist cloud-browser IP ranges, or users paying for third-party residential proxies / a 24/7 home PC for a clean IP
- The author is collecting reports from other countries to determine whether the problem is geographic, provider-specific, or inherent to cloud browsers today
