User reverse-engineers Grok's X news curation prompt and turns it into a reusable agent skill
dotey · x · 2026-10-15
dotey shows a neat trick: ask Grok Bot how it curates AI news on X, and it reveals its full pipeline — watching three classes of accounts (AI lab official accounts, key figures, news/leak accounts), ready-to-copy search queries covering model launches, funding, regulation and leaks, plus rules for freshness and value judgment.
He then had Grok package the whole workflow into a reusable skill called "X AI News Search", complete with account watchlists, search queries, dedup rules, and push formatting. The full prompt is shared in the replies.
Key caveat: running this pipeline on other agents requires paying for X API yourself, while Grok Bot's X access costs nothing extra.
