Peter Diamandis launches NeoGenesis Capital to bet on Colossal's programmable biology ecosystem
PeterDiamandis · x · 2026-10-15
Peter Diamandis and Yianni Psaltis have launched NeoGenesis Capital, a fund targeting the intersection of superintelligence and synthetic biology.
- The thesis is a deliberately concentrated, single-ecosystem strategy: invest in Colossal Biosciences — the AI-plus-genetic-engineering platform built by Ben Lamm and George Church — and its spinouts across food, environment, microplastics elimination, and AI-biological intelligence (Astromech, plus a stealth company and future pipeline).
- The fund argues the decade's highest-returning ventures (Anthropic, xAI, OpenAI, SpaceX) were incubated inside a generational founder's ecosystem, where access — not discovery — was the edge, and applies that architecture to programmable biology.
- Diamandis notes Colossal has already held its initial closing and frames the post as a story, not a solicitation.
