Modal founder Erik Bernhardsson announced the company crossed $1B in annualized run rate and raised a $750M Series D. Just five months after its Series C, usage has tripled and grown more than 15x year-over-year.
Quote-commenter BryanOffutt frames Modal as a case study in delayed gratification: building hard things has no payoff in months by design, but once done, "I believe some call this a moat".
