Google's own benchmarks: Gemini 4 Argon beats and loses to Opus 5.5 depending on test
fasildar55 · reddit · 2026-10-14
Google's Gemini 4 Argon benchmarks contain a contradiction: Argon beats Opus 5.5 on DeepSWE (77.9% vs 74.2%), but Opus wins Terminal-Bench 4.0 by a wide margin (66.4% vs 57.4%) and also takes FrontierSWE.
Same models, opposite results depending on the benchmark — prompting questions about how useful the 'best coding AI' label really is.
