While testing different harnesses on Terminal-Bench Lite, the author found that a minimal harness based purely on a single ipython tool can tie some complex production-grade harnesses. Takeaway: less scaffolding makes better small agents. An open-source repo, ipython-harness, is available for further experimentation.
