Open-Science: an open-source AI research workbench that packages sessions as .science files
ahuja_priyank · x · 2026-10-14
AIPOCH's Open-Science is an open-source, local-first, model-agnostic AI research workbench (4.9k GitHub stars) built around one idea: research isn't just the final output. It preserves the full chain — files, decisions, code, evidence, and attempts — inside a portable .science session package.
- Export as Essential / Full / Custom; PDF for reading the conversation, Markdown for reuse, ZIP for selected outputs, .science for full inspectability
- Recipients import the package read-only, preserving research history, then fork or continue
- Includes Python/R execution, MCP tools, extensible skills, and traceable artifacts
Screenshots show RNA-seq QC analysis and Enrichment comparison workflows with per-file version/dependency listings at export. The goal: research that's easier to inspect, share, and build on.
