AIPOCH open-science: local-first AI research workbench hits ~4.9k stars on GitHub
ahuja_priyank · x · 2026-10-14
AIPOCH Open-Science is an open-source AI research workbench (4.9k stars, 480 forks on GitHub): a local-first, model-agnostic desktop app for scientific research and agent workflows, with extensible skills, MCP tools and connectors, Python/R execution, and traceable artifacts for reproducible research on macOS, Windows and Linux, under Apache-2.0.
The author ties it to the open-science idea: research should not only be easier to create but also easier to inspect, share, continue and build on. Multiple export options are provided — PDF for reading the conversation, Markdown for reusing text, ZIP for sharing selected outputs, and .science for inspecting a research session with its full context.
