Arvind Narayanan appointed to endowed Siegel Professorship of Computer Science

Princeton professor and AI Snake Oil co-author Arvind Narayanan announced his appointment as the Bertram and Carole Siegel Professor of Computer Science, supported by the Siegel Family Endowment. He learned of it via a surprise email — no nomination awareness or external letters required — and quips that after two decades in academia he's still learning how things work, while noting his work has always been more legible outside the academy.
