QwenImage 2.1 shines as an identity-preserving edit model in Reddit workflow writeup
Cautious_Chicken_604 · reddit · 2026-10-14
A Redditor detailed a workflow: boost face diversity in Krea2 turbo, use ArcFace (via Qwen3.8-Flash-Next) to compute centroids of thousands of test faces and match a ground-truth aesthetic — then discovered prompt keywords for hair/make-up push the centroid far off target.
The fix: feed images into QwenImage 2.1 for those edits. Its identity preservation proved surprisingly usable, and the author asks how it compares with other edit models.
