Building a 'husband app' with Muse: auto-pinning wife's Instagram reels to Google Maps
dumierhan · x · 2026-10-14
Developer dumierhan is building a personal app with Muse that extracts places from hundreds of Instagram reels his wife sends ('we should try this café in Japan/NYC') and pins them on Google Maps. Instagram rate limits mean only 95 of 237 reels are processed so far, with an automatic retry set for 6:10 AM — new finds go straight onto the map. A tidy example of chaining social content into maps automation, and of Instagram's API throttling.
