Weaviate 1.40 ships PathSeer, a dynamic filtered-ANN algorithm fastest in nearly all benchmarks

Weaviate 1.40 introduces PathSeer, a new filtered ANN algorithm designed by researchers and implemented directly in Weaviate. It makes filtering-strategy decisions dynamically, improving search without query-specific tuning.
In benchmarks, PathSeer was the fastest strategy across almost every workload, including all six production-like conjunction filters. It works with existing HNSW indexes — switching an existing collection needs no reindexing, just "filterStrategy": "pathseer".
