TV4 postpones show to 2027 after AI agent erases all edited footage

Swedish broadcaster TV4 has postponed its show 'The Challenge' to 2027 after a technical failure — reportedly an AI agent — wiped all of the already-edited footage, forcing the season to be redone. The incident is an early cautionary tale about giving autonomous agents write access to real production systems: a single erroneous automated action destroyed weeks of finished work. TV4 has not detailed why the agent had deletion permissions.
