Swaayatt Demos On-the-Fly Camera-LiDAR Calibration Without Markers in the Wild
sanjeevs_iitr · x · 2026-10-14
Autonomous driving startup Swaayatt unveiled v1 of its auto sensor calibration software: instead of tedious indoor checkerboard/ChArUco setups, it calibrates cameras and LiDARs on-the-fly via iterative optimization against generic, noisy, featureless environments like mountains, roads, and trees. Current assumption is static obstacles; next version adds dynamic scenes and RADAR+camera+LiDAR fusion, with RL-based dynamic calibration in research. Applicable to mobile robots in urban, industrial, off-road, and forest settings.
