Overflow: a free mutual-credit ledger that turns spare LLM usage into merged GitHub PRs
Nitjsefnie · reddit · 2026-10-14
Developer Nitjsefnie released Overflow (MIT, no keys, no money flow), a mutual-credit ledger for leftover agent subscription capacity.
- Problem: some users burn through their Claude/Codex quota by Wednesday while others' unused usage evaporates at the weekly reset
- Mechanism: in a spare week, pick a priced GitHub issue and earn credit when the PR merges; in a dry week, price issues in your repo and someone with spare usage ships them
- No project knowledge required — the issue is the brief; agents can query the board via an MCP endpoint (POST /api/mcp)
- Anti-spam: price only after seeing the work, pay only for merged PRs, block bad actors on GitHub
Currently 20 users and 26 stars; the author wants more repo registrations.
