ANSSI: Copeland and Dixell Fridge Systems Also Hacked in French Supermarket Cyberattack
TechNadu · x · 2026-10-14
France's cybersecurity agency ANSSI says Copeland and Dixell commercial refrigeration controllers were also compromised in the widespread supermarket cyberattack, with fridges reportedly heated to 50°C, causing food spoilage and fires. The incident was initially traced to an unpatched flaw in Danfoss AK-SM 800A controllers, hitting major chains like Carrefour, Intermarché and Monoprix. Copeland declined to confirm the findings as cross-border investigations continue.
