ComfyUI officially releases Nvidia VFX nodes for local video upscaling, frame generation and HDR

ComfyUI's official newsletter announces that Nvidia's RTX video effects now run as custom nodes inside ComfyUI, with lightweight models bundled and executed locally on RTX GPUs.
- RTX Video Super Resolution: up to 4x upscale or target dimensions to 8192px, with 19 modes covering standard, high-bitrate, streaming, denoise and deblur sources.
- RTX Video Frame Generation: interpolates frames at 2x–16x or a specific timestep for frame-rate conversion and slow motion.
- RTX Video HDR: SDR to BT.2020 HDR with HLG/PQ output; contrast, saturation, middle gray and peak luminance (400–2000 nits) adjustable, debanding on by default.
The optimal chain is Super Resolution → Frame Generation → HDR, forming an end-to-end pro-grade VFX preprocessing pipeline ready for color grading.
