NVIDIA commits $250M to UK AI safety research, rolls out deployments across healthcare and finance

NVIDIA announced a wave of UK initiatives: a five-year, $250M compute commitment for agentic AI safety research, plus $50M/year in accelerated computing via BOLD at Oxford, UCL and Imperial College, and a Global Alliance Founding Partner role with the Earthshot Prize. Key deployments:
- Healthcare: OneAdvanced launched what it calls the UK's first fine-tuned LLM for primary-care AI triage (NVIDIA Agent Toolkit); Heidi integrated Nemotron models; Speechmatics deployed its multilingual medical speech model Oak on Triton; Danaher's autonomous lab uses BioNeMo for up to 8x faster affinity reagent discovery.
- Finance: Revolut's PRAGMA banking foundation model (pre-trained on 26M anonymized user histories) is scaling to real time; Lloyds built the ATUM transaction foundation model; NatWest is collaborating on Nemotron Voice.
- Energy & cities: Fuse Energy moved customer AI onto in-house B300 Blackwell Ultra infrastructure serving 450,000+ households; Liverpool City Region is building an NVIDIA-powered 'City Brain'.
- Open data: Locai Labs released Nemotron-Personas-UK, a 1M synthetic persona dataset.
- Quantum: Riverlane showed GPU-accelerated decoder recalibration for quantum error correction.
Over 3,100 UK companies are now in the NVIDIA Inception program.
