Grok finds multiple CPA errors after user dumps 266 tax and financial files into it
elonmusk · x · 2026-10-14
Elon Musk highlighted a user's test: jason freedman fed Grok 266 unlabeled files—four years of K-1s, 1099s, mortgage statements, HSA records and CPA emails—and asked it to double-check his CPA's work. Within minutes it surfaced numerous errors: mortgage interest omitted entirely from the 2022 return, HSA payroll contributions double-counted four years running (creating a penalty tax that never should have existed), a missing IRA form, plus home-office mistakes, two missing K-1s, an outdated 1099 and unclaimed startup losses on this year's return. Musk pitched Grok Bot as a tax-help assistant.
