IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva warns AI is propping up world growth while erasing entry-level jobs, since newcomers start in routine work most exposed to automation. IMF research sees AI affecting 60% of jobs in advanced economies and 40% globally, half negatively. Its models also estimate an AI bust costs 1.1% of output by 2028—nearly double the 0.6% a boom adds by 2029.
