Physical Intelligence opens Pi API beta, first robot fleets integrated with 25-50k shipments projected
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-14
Physical Intelligence has launched the Pi API beta: robot companies can upload their own data, fine-tune Pi's general-purpose foundation models, and run cloud inference to control their robots—no need to train a foundation model from scratch, freeing them to focus on hardware and field ops.
- The attached image shows the first integrated partners, including Almond, Argon Robotics, Chef Robotics, Deft, Dream Machines, Formic Robotics, Frontier Machines, General Instinct, Intuition.dev, robot.com, Ultra, and Yondu
- The author projects 25,000–50,000 global shipments of Pi-API-integrated robots (including humanoids) in the first half of the year, with more to come
- Signals a new stage for physical AI: foundation model capability is now being offered to the robotics industry as an API
