Novvel.co turns novels into graphic novels with AI, cutting cost and time by about half
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-14
Singapore publishing startup Novvel.co, cofounded by ex-Googler Anumeha Bisaria, unveiled an AI platform at Frankfurt Book Fair that converts manuscripts into graphic novels. With traditional production costing $20K–$50K over 12–18 months, the platform claims to halve both: it studies background, protagonist and emotional beats to produce a storyboard at 60–70% completion, then human editors, authors and illustrators refine it. The team targets the reading drop-off when kids get their first phones in middle school.
