The Douglas Research Centre / McGill, affiliated with Mila in Montréal, is hiring one PhD student and one postdoc to build foundation models for behaviour — combining large-scale behavioural video with deep learning. Topics include video representation learning, self-supervised discovery and retrieval at scale, mapping diverse behaviour into a searchable embedding space.
Co-supervised by Majid Mohajerani and Pouya Bashivan. Applicants from CS/ECE/comp-neuro with Python + PyTorch skills are welcome; generous funding for competitive candidates, on-site position.
