Minerva brings genome language models to the browser, predicting coevolution in seconds
anshulkundaje · x · 2026-10-14
Minerva is a new discovery method built on genome language models, now runnable in the browser to predict base-pairing, repeats, and other coevolutionary signals in seconds. Aiming at the genomic 'dark matter' of unknown function, it reveals interactions hidden in non-coding DNA, surfacing hundreds of putative RNAs and repetitive elements per bacterial genome at orders of magnitude greater scale than traditional methods.
