Standing-room-only at OCP's 800 VDC session as rack power roadmap heads to 1MW
firstadopter · x · 2026-10-14
A slide from the packed 800 VDC session at OCP Global Summit lays out the datacenter power roadmap: Gen 1 (GB200/GB300, 54VDC, 145kW) → Gen 2 (Vera Rubin NVL72, 54VDC, 330kW) → Gen 3 (570kW, 800VDC with fully liquid-cooled PSUs) → Gen 4 (1MW, native 800VDC).
The trend line shows cabinet power approaching 1MW around 2029-2032, which is exactly why 800VDC distribution is becoming an imperative. The poster notes the session was standing room only.
