/sitrep skill now open-sourced on GitHub with SKILL.md and report template
kevinkern · x · 2026-10-14
Kevin Kern published the open-source repo (instructa/agent-skills) for his /sitrep skill, including SKILL.md, README and agent configs. Instead of summarizing from memory, the coordinating agent freshly collects state from threads, run logs, task trackers and review files, then reports in a fixed template: a two-sentence summary, numbered items needing the user (decisions spell out options with consequences, recommended option always first as A), and short tables for the product map, work in progress and blockers — unverified facts marked with ?. One-line replies like "1 A, 2 done" keep everything moving.
