Ben Bajarin shared hands-on photos of a working co-packaged optics (CPO) demo from Ayar Labs and wiwynn, built around dual GUC test XPUs with liquid cooling. The front panel exposes Ayar Labs TeraPHY optical engines alongside pluggable transceivers.
A live CPO telemetry dashboard shows the TeraPHY optical engine running at 4.01 dB extinction ratio, 374.2 µW OMA, 242.3 µW eye height, 438.2 µW average optical power, and 53.4°C die temperature, with the SuperNova light source laser at 49.5°C. Notably, the outbound side still uses pluggable modules.
