rickasaurus · x · 2026-10-14
OpenAI said it used its own models to analyze a hidden recording device found in one of its offices, identify the employee who planted it, and refer the case to the FBI, leading to an arrest. The company says there's no indication of inappropriate access to model weights, source code, or customer data; the employee was terminated. Nathan Calvin quipped that finding one spy and one device means your best estimate of the total isn't one.
