AMD announced 6th Gen EPYC "Verano" processors as the next step in its AI-era CPU roadmap, revealed by CEO Dr. Lisa Su. The company frames the launch around the thesis that "AI needs more compute — and more from the CPU."
Its predecessor EPYC "Venice" already spans GPU hosts, agent sandboxes, and general-purpose compute, positioning AMD to take a larger share of AI datacenter general computing.
