- Stanford will provide free OpenAI ChatGPT Edu access (Standard and Pro tiers) to all students, faculty, postdocs and staff starting June 30, 2026, via University IT.
- The university-tailored offering supports custom GPTs, analysis across text/images/data, Codex for coding and workflow automation, plugins and skills for research/teaching tools, computer use for multistep tasks, and scheduled automations — aimed at scaling AI across teaching, learning, research and administration.
