Prime Intellect acquires Moondream to build efficient multimodal models

Prime Intellect has acquired Moondream, the open-source vision-language model project. Moondream's team joins Prime Intellect, bringing its open vision models and inference optimizations into the stack.
The combined company plans to train and deploy multimodal models spanning vision, video, voice, decision models and computer use, with a focus on accelerating inference for the next generation of efficient multimodal models.
