Jeff Dean reveals personal funding of Khipu.AI and Deep Learning Indaba for years

Jeff Dean has personally supported Khipu.AI and Deep Learning Indaba through his family foundation, events that train AI researchers in South America and Africa. He also pushed Google to back them, and his Discovery Loop project now sponsors them too. Nando de Freitas publicly thanked him as the top supporter of these initiatives.
