Vercel has sped up repository checkout and Git LFS downloads before builds. On build machines with more than two vCPUs, average file preparation time fell 20%, and 54% for LFS-enabled projects (13 seconds saved per deployment on this step). 90th-percentile prep time fell 22%. Improvements apply automatically with no action required.
