Gemini 4 Argon ships in GitHub Copilot, beating prior Gemini models on every coding benchmark
rseroter · x · 2026-10-14
GitHub announced that Google's Gemini 4 Argon is now generally available in GitHub Copilot. Early testing showed it solved more tasks than previous Gemini models on every coding benchmark, with the largest gains in Copilot CLI, and it thoroughly checks its work by testing edge cases before finishing. It targets complex coding, agentic, and reasoning tasks across the Copilot app, CLI, and VS Code. The poster will also join a mainstage panel at GitHub Universe with Anthropic and OpenAI peers.
