Draw DAGs as Table Rows: A Fresh Take on Pipeline Visualization
round · x · 2026-10-14
Hamilton Ulmer proposes a new way to render DAGs: in a linear pipeline the nodes form a list, so each node can be a table row with metadata displayed alongside. Parallel branches are the main limitation of this approach, but horizontal space is cheap, and he argues more DAGs should be drawn this way.
