Mathlib Standards Too High for AI Wave, Argues Resolution's Geoffrey Irving

In his thread announcing the $1M Mathlib grant, Geoffrey Irving of Resolution argues that while definitions and theorem statements still need high standards, workflows and tools must better handle the separation between low- and high-quality code. Mathlib's standards are too high for the AI wave: they make sense for hand-crafted human proofs, but not when a single theorem like FLT gets an AI-generated proof many times bigger than all of Mathlib.
