Inside MIRA: a hierarchical research agent separating meta-reasoning from execution
anirudhg9119 · x · 2026-10-14
The thread describes MIRA's hierarchical research agent architecture:
- Meta-reasoner: the outer loop deciding WHAT to investigate next, issuing work orders or stopping decisions.
- Fresh executor: the inner loop deciding HOW, writing results and handovers back.
- Persistent repository: stores artifacts, experiments and evidence across context resets.
Each investigation, however long, is represented as one transition at the meta-reasoning level.
