A developer found Google Cloud adding SSH access to Cloud Run: the command has appeared in gcloud alpha and started popping up in the console UI.
The feature traces back to the Cloud Run announcements at Next '26 (April). Other updates include full-stack app building in AI Studio with one-click Cloud Run deploys, the official remote Cloud Run MCP server going GA, NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs on Cloud Run, and upcoming per-month billing caps. External active developers and applications on Cloud Run doubled over the past year.
