A week with Argon 4: Google is back, its first frontier agent model with real internal usage
every · x · 2026-10-14
After testing Google's Argon 4 for a week, hammermt's take: Google is back in the running. The org was already 'AGI-pilled' but agent usage wasn't high — why Claude pulled ahead. Argon 4 is the first frontier agent model that seems to actually get usage internally at Google, a very bullish sign; consumers can again pick from 3 (maybe 4 with Meta) frontier labs. He also notes the model is extremely info-dense — its PowerPoints cram too much on one page, closer to what a scientist would produce.
