Rohit Krishnan on frontier risk: just make Fable 7 better, and there's no Fable 8 if it isn't
krishnanrohit · x · 2026-10-14
Rohit Krishnan pushed back on safety researcher David Manheim, arguing he oscillates between "next step immediately causes catastrophe" and "current methods aren't perfect." Krishnan's view: we don't need to solve infinite consequences today, just make Fable 7 better — because if Fable 7 isn't better, there is no Fable 8. Manheim insists failure rates must approach zero as consequences approach infinity, and questions whether Krishnan relies on safety-via-competition or civilizational capacity.
