Google Play to privately host vibe-coded apps; Ask Play expands, Game Finder arrives
Ars Technica AI · rss · 2026-10-14
Google announced a wave of Play Store AI features. Headline: users who build their own apps with AI will soon be able to privately host and share those vibe-coded creations on the Play Store without publishing publicly. Ask Play, launched in 2025 as a listing chatbot, expands into general app discovery with generated comparison charts (a Gemini version is coming), and a new Game Finder recommendation engine builds a 'Gamer DNA' profile from data on 1.2 billion Android gamers.
