Cursor folds into The X Subscription: Grok usage doubled, third-party models go API-priced
sumitdotml · x · 2026-10-14
Cursor announced it is now part of The X Subscription. Existing subscribers can keep their plan or switch; paid plans share one usage pool across Cursor, Grok Build and other Grok products, with 2x the coding usage on Grok models versus the equivalent Cursor plan. New tiers: Plus $8/mo, Premium $30/mo (4x Plus, adds cloud agents, code hosting, AI code reviews), Super $100/mo (15x), Ultra $200/mo (50x, earliest access). To make room for Grok, third-party models in Cursor move to API list pricing on the new plans, and Plus is Grok-only. Reactions are mixed, with some users worried about the editor's future.
