Ithaca announced an agreement to acquire Bumble after evaluating hundreds of companies for businesses that gain value as AI advances. Investor Sholto Douglas called it a potential textbook case of transforming a company with 100x-better technology, leveraging network effects and multiplying value rather than just cutting costs, arguing dating products remain primitive with huge headroom.
