CXMT president Cao Kanyu said the Chinese memory maker has made "key progress" on a 4F² square cell architecture — where each cell occupies four times the minimum line width area, boosting storage density and efficiency — a design Samsung and SK Hynix are also pursuing. CXMT plans to ship a server-memory product based on the structure by the end of 2026.
