7 AI models flew a drone via phone MCP: Claude refused, Codex one-shotted it
Basic-Let6828 · reddit · 2026-10-13
A team used the open-source Mobile MCP to let AI agents drive the DJI mobile app on a phone via computer use, piloting a £100 drone to find a wooden table and land on it. Testing 7 models, Codex completed the mission one-shot, while Claude repeatedly refused the drone-piloting task — though the authors expect it to do better on other computer-use tasks.
