Canada AI Exposure Map: 60% of workers in high-exposure jobs, Quebec leads
RichardsonDx · x · 2026-10-13
Richardson Designs launched a free bilingual Canadian AI Exposure Map combining Anthropic's Economic Index usage data, StatCan surveys, and job-posting data. Key findings: 60% of Canadian workers hold highly AI-exposed occupations; 1 in 3 workers used generative AI in the past year; 19.2% of businesses use AI in production or services; but only 6% of AI-adopting firms cut jobs due to AI—augmentation still dominates replacement. About 30% of occupations show zero exposure (cooks, mechanics, bartenders, dishwashers). Geography matters too: Quebec metros average 49.7 exposure (highest), Alberta 45.7 (lowest).
