Only 14.7% of trades and transport workers use gen AI — physical-world jobs stay safe
RichardsonDx · x · 2026-10-13
The safest jobs share one trait: the work happens in the physical world. Only 14.7% of Canadian trades, transport and equipment-operator workers used generative AI at work, vs 75.1% for senior management and 67.5% for natural and applied sciences; roughly one in three Canadian workers used GenAI in the past year. Jobs requiring human accountability — electricians, plumbers, nurses — also look safer.
