Indie dev renames search engine indexer to Argus, built on his own libraries
wavefnx · x · 2026-10-13
Developer wavefnx shared progress on his self-built search engine: the indexer, formerly named Pythia, is now called Argus — after Argus Panoptes, the all-seeing giant of Greek mythology.
He also listed the custom libraries powering it: moov, billed as the fastest MP4 parser, and brasci for encoding and rendering, explaining that the earlier demos work via these same libraries.
